Moody Gardens Festival of Lights


As one of the largest holiday celebrations in the region, Festival of Lights has become a holiday tradition for families and groups alike. Enjoy more than 1 million lights within 100 sound-enhanced animated light displays and nightly live entertainment. In addition, you can skate around on the area’s only outdoor ice skating rink (bring your own skates or rentals available), take pictures with Santa or watch holiday films in the MG 3D, 4D Special FX or Ridefilm theaters.
New this year: SNOW TUBING! Hop on an inner tube and slide down the Texas-sized Arctic Slide!
Dates: Open on all Festival of Lights nights
Hours: Noon-10pm (6-10pm on Thurdays & Fridays)
Admission: $12.00

Sneak Peek: See Houston Holiday Parade floats, meet characters, take photo with Santa


Houston - On Saturday, November 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., families will have the chance to preview the 63rd Annual Holiday Parade presented by H-E-B at the second annual Sneak Peek & Character Meet and Greet.

The 2012 Holiday Parade Sneak Peek & Character Meet and Greet is programmed specifically with families in mind. Go behind the scenes into the downtown Parade Warehouse where the Houston holiday magic happens. Sneak Peek is a fundraiser for the annual Holiday Parade, a public celebration that is syndicated in 16 markets and viewed live by over 400,000 proud Houstonians.
