Pro tips from some VIPs for All Star Weekend

As you read this, out-of-towners are arriving for the madness that is NBA All-Star Weekend. And if this is your first time to Houston, you're going to need a tour guide.
A pair of the cities busiest rappers - who collaborated on the 2010 tune "Sext Me" - run down their favorite spots and shout-out everything from sushi to designer shoes. If you see them partying over the weekend, say thank you.

Bun B is a big fan of Uchi.: Michael Paulsen/Houston Chronicle

Bun B (rapper, founding member of UGK)
Uchi (904 Westheimer): It's a great restaurant - clean, fresh food. Great chefs, great staff. I know the guys there, so I could get a good table.

Junction Bar (1601 W. Gray): That's where we broadcast our radio show, Sports Rapp Live, on 790 AM.

Sole Purpose (1641 Westheimer): A guy from Port Arthur opened the store, and he's bringing in really nice pieces (shoes, clothes). Not the common stuff you find in a mall. It really sets you apart from everyone else.

Warehouse Live (813 St. Emanuel): I know the manager really well. He's very good at bringing in diverse acts from many genres. It's not just a hip-hop venue. It's not just a rock venue. They've done a great job of ushering Houston into this next level.

300 Houston (925 Bunker Hill): I like the atmosphere. And I don't have to go up two or three flights of stairs just to go bowling.

TroubleSum (fashionista and Houston's first lady of hip-hop)
The Galleria (5085 Westheimer): Every fashionista's dream. It showcases some of my fave retail stores: Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms, Saks, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent and Forever 21.

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen (various locations): Great food, and one taste will make you a frequent guest.

MAG Studios (3550 Lang): A one-stop shop for videos, recording and photoshoots. The green room is amazing for shooting futuristic-style movies or videos.

Venue (719 Main): They're hosting the flyest parties this weekend and stars, including Terrence Howard and Common.
