Spring crawfish festival

`Duck Dynasty' star will be at Spring crawfish festival

It's guaranteed Morrissey won't be at this year's Texas Crawfish and Music Festival, and not just because a member of the "Duck Dynasty" crew will be there.

Crawfish fan Silas Merritt "Si" Robertson, AKA Uncle Si, from A&E's mega hit about the rags-to-riches Louisiana family behind duck call and decoy empire Duck Commander will be at the festival for a meet-and-greet on April 20. The festival stretches over two weekends (April 19-21 and 26-28) in historic Old Town Spring. Starting at 1 p.m., Uncle Si will "shaking hands, signing autographs and taking pictures at the `Texas Crawfish Festival Duck Blind.'"

Singer and animal rights activist Morrissey cancelled a Tuesday appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" because the cast of "Duck Dynasty" was scheduled for the same show. According to the Associated Press, Morrissey said Monday he can't perform on a show with what he called people who "amount to animal serial killers."

Acts that will be on hand to put the music in the Texas Crawfish and Music Festival are the Randy Rogers Band, Grupo Fantasma, Shakey Graves, Jack Ingram and the Toadies.
