For many crawfish lovers, it's not just the mudbugs that appeal this time of the year.
It's the whole crawfish scene: kicking back on a large patio, enjoying a cool breeze, a cold beer and a couple pounds of crawfish with friends.
Here are some places with patio scenes as good as the crawfish. Prices were current at press time but can fluctuate.
- At Crazy Alan's Swamp Shack in Kemah, a recording tells callers the current prices on crawfish. It's $5.99 per pound for up to 4 pounds. For 5 pounds or more, the price drops to $4.99. Time your visit for 6-9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, when mudbugs go for $3.99 a pound.
