Houston Restaurant Weeks

Brunch is on the menu for the 2014 edition of Houston Restaurant Weeks
Brunch is on the menu for the the highly anticipated annual food fest known as Houston Restaurant Weeks. The annual charity dine-around raised more than $1 million in 2013 for the Houston Food Bank.

As in year’s past, the 2014 edition — Aug. 1-Sept. 1 — will feature special two-, three- or four-course prix fixe menus at hundreds of Houston’s most popular restaurants. A portion of each meal’s cost will be designated for the food bank.

In years past, a handful of restaurants have offered a HRW brunch menu priced the same as the lunch option. This year, however, brunch has its own category and pricing.

And here is the 2014 pricing:
Dinners will be $35 or $45, depending on the menu, with $5 and $7, respectively, going to the food bank. Brunch will be $25 and provide a $4 gift to the food bank, while lunches will be priced at $20 with $3 going to charity.

Participating restaurants — and their menus — will be posted on the official HRW site on July 15.
Founded by radio and television personality Cleverley Stone, Houston Restaurant Weeks is the largest annual fundraiser for the Houston Food Bank. Since its start in 2003, HRW has raised more than $4.3 million, providing nearly 13 million meals for food-insecure Texans.
