Two foodie events: tailgate throwdown and AZUMApalooza
A Tailgate Throwdown noon-3 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at the Houston Texans Grille will benefit the Houston Food Bank and kick off Houston Restaurant Weeks.
Diners can pay $20 to sample the tailgate fare created by a dozen of the city’s best chefs. Among the participating restaurants are 024 Grille, Branch Water Tavern, the Hay Merchant, Monarch Bistro, The Original Ninfa’s, Pizzitola’s, the Tasting Room and Underbelly.
Chef will compete in several categories including most original dish, best classic dish and fan favorite.
