Galveston’s Pleasure Pier, which opened Memorial Day weekend, is finally complete with Friday’s opening of the Texas Star Flyer.
The Texas Star Flyer lifts riders 230 feet above the Gulf, where they swing in a 90-foot arc at speeds up to 43 miles per hour. (Or so says the Pleasure Pier folks. I’m not going up that tower.)
