Wet Wednesday

looks like the rain today is going to be causing some problems around houston, here is what the news says:

Floods possible during yet another day of rain
Flooding is possible in some parts of the Houston region as heavy downpours continue to drench the area.
The greatest threat for floods will probably be Wednesday when the heaviest showers and thunderstorms are forecast to hit the region, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters said a flash flood watch has been issued for the region until 1 p.m. and it may be extended if the rain continues to pound the area. The area is soggy from recent downpours, making flooding possible, especially in some coastal communities.
The best chance for flooding may be in portions of Matagorda and Brazoria counties where thunderstorms dumped several inches of rainfall before dawn Wednesday. Street flooding may be possible in some parts of Houston and outlying areas, but forecasters said, heavy flooding is not likely unless thunderstorms linger in spots for hours.
The rain is expected to soak the area through the weekend, though the chances for showers and thunderstorms gradually decline during the next few days. Heavy moisture in the region and an upper level trough above the area are bringing the soaking rain.
The rain and cloudy skies are likely to keep temperatures slightly below normal for the next few days.
Spots south of the metropolitan area recorded heavy rain in the predawn hours and the storms are expected to spread into Houston and then further north toward Conroe and College Station during the afternoon. Some of the storms could dump up to three inches of rain. Areas near Lake Jackson and Sergent recorded nearly four inches of rain by about 5 a.m. while spots in western Matagorda County saw up to five inches.
The high temperature will be 86 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. The low will be about 75.
Rain chances and cloudy skies continue Thursday, when a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible. The high will be near 86 degrees. The low will be about 75.
Thunderstorms linger in the area Friday and through the weekend, though rain chances decline slightly. A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible each day. The highs will be in the lower 90s. The lows will be in the mid 70s.
