South Padre Island dubbed a singles hot spot

Single and wanna mingle? Take a trek to South Padre Island, which recently made Yahoo! Travel's list of best beach towns to vacation if you're unattached.
The article states that with 34 miles of shoreline and more than 50 bars, restaurants and nightclubs, South Padre is a great place to go, whether you just got out of a relationship and need a pick-me-up, or you're just looking to have some fun flying solo.
Arguably the most attractive view of the Texas Gulf, the island offers a chance for single men and women to pack light, with most bars just off the beach encouraging their patrons to leave their shirts and shoes in the hotel.
Wanna Wanna Bar and Grill, just few feet from shore, boasts the "best bird and bikini watching spot on the beach, the island, the islands, the hemisphere, (and) the world." The island hot spot also serves as lodging, with 15 rooms with a view of the ocean.
After dinner, grab your drink, head down to the sand and snuggle up next to someone during one of the island firework shows going on display every Thursday and Friday night all summer long.
Whether you head home with some new phone numbers or just a great tan, there's apparently no way to strikeout after a visit to South Padre Island.
