well i guess its true that you learn something new everyday....
From now until November, millions of jewel-colored hummingbirds will pass through Texas to points south of the border. Some will even stay here for the winter.
Ruby-throated hummingbirds present a dramatic show as practically all of the approximately 7 million birds in the United States pass through the state, moving mostly along coastal areas but also inland through the Hill Country and even through West Texas.
