The owner of Hearsay Gastro Lounge, a relative veteran of downtown’s restaurant and bar scene, is opening a second location this fall near Discovery Green.
The new space will be located in the Embassy Suites Hotel at 1515 Dallas and will offer lunch, dinner and late-night dining, along with craft cocktails, beer and wine.
Like it’s original location in the historic W. L. Foley Building at 218 Travis, the design of the new spot will have brick walls, exposed ceilings and a vintage chandelier. The first location off Market Square opened at the end of 2009.
“It will certainly be the most unique restaurant setting found in any Houston hotel, particularly in this part of downtown,” Nick Massad of Houston-based American Liberty Hospitality, which owns and operates the Embassy Suites, said in a statement.
