Free Press Summer Fest announces concert schedule
Get your high-waisted shorts and ironic t-shirts ready: Free Press Summer Fest is just around the corner. The event's schedule was just released, meaning Houstonians around the city are officially forced to make the difficult decision of mapping out which bands they want to go see.
This year's headliners include Jack White, Vampire Weekend, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Wu-Tang Clan, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Dwight Yoakam, Childish Gambino, Deftones, Cage the Elephant, and DMX. Local acts will also be rocking out, including The Tontons and Wild Moccasins.
Take a look at the gallery above to see what time your favorite acts will be taking the stage.
The festival will be held Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1 from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. at Eleanor Tinsley Park near downtown Houston. It's worth noting that the festival will take place rain or shine, unless otherwise posted. It's an all-ages show.
Now, just because the word "free" is in the name doesn't mean this is a freebie concert. Tickets will set you back anywhere from $158.50-499.00. Go to fpsf.com for more information or to buy tickets.
