Memorial City Mall bags new tenants
he stores in Memorial City Mall have long skewed toward the junior market — shoppers in their teens and early 20s. But several new tenants are coming to the mall that will offer more choices for a broader age demographic.
Banana Republic, Soma Intimates, Chico’s and Kay’s Jewelers plan to open on a rolling basis throughout the rest of the year, while Vera Bradley, Brighton Collectibles and Six:02 recently added stores, according to mall owner MetroNational.
“We have intentionally sought out tenants to broaden the reach and provide a multi-generational consumer experience,” Danna Diamond, the mall’s director of retail leasing, said in a statement.
MetroNational said the property has seen unprecedented growth since it was upgraded in 2003. Last year, annual sales approached $800 per square foot, the company said.
