Houston named as one of the most underrated food cities in America

We all know Houston is a top spot for foodies, but it seems the rest of America is tardy to that party. That is, until now. Thrillist listed Houston as one of the most underrated food towns in America.

The website featured Seth Siegle-Gardner, the chef and founder of the esteemed The Pass & Provisions:
"The thing I love about Houston's food scene is the opportunities. Most importantly, for the dining guest there's the opportunity to experience one of the most exciting times in Houston's food scene. The second part of that is the opportunities young up-and-coming chefs, beverage professionals, and restaurateurs have," Siegle-Gardner told Thrillist.

Houston isn't the only Texas town on the list. San Antonio earned a spot.

Our other underrated brethren include Asheville, North Carolina; Cleveland, Ohio; Detroit, Michigan; Louisville, Kentucky; and Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota.

Thrillist isn't the only national platform to take note of Houston's culinary talents. Take a look at the local restaurants and chefs that have been featured on television sets across the country.
