Where to get your crawfish fix in Houston

Where to get your crawfish fix in Houston

It's mudbug season in Houston. Living so close to the Gulf Coast (and to Cajun Country), the Bayou City has no shortage of places to get your crawfish fix.

You could run down to the grocery store or to a roadside stand, grab a couple of pounds of live crawfish and boil them up at home. Sounds exhausting, huh? Lucky for us, Houston has plenty of options for when you want to get your hands dirty, when, you know, you don't want to get your hands dirty.

For starters, check out Hank's Cajun Crawfish at 4409 Highway 6 North (hankscajuncrawfish.com). Other good options are Woodrows Heights on 1200 Durham Drive (woodrowsheights.com) and Crawfish & Wings at 12062 Veterans Memorial. And we haven't even gotten started: Check out the gallery above for some top Cajun spots in town, all of which are serving up crawfish as we speak.

If you're in a more festive mood, you're in luck: There are a couple of crawfish festivals going on around town this spring.
