When the first drivers board the Port Bolivar ferry mid-afternoon on Wednesday, they will have a surprise - they'll get to break a ceremonial ribbon as they board the newest boat in the ferry fleet.
After a delay of months, the John W. Johnson is scheduled to make its maiden voyage at 3 p.m. Wednesday from the Galveston ferry landing.
